History
Psi Chi Mu was founded on January 13, 1872, at Deyanira University in Permoski,Pennsylvania. Unlike many other sororities Psi Chi Mu's founding was not welcomed in fact it was the complete opposite. Our four founders faced opposition from not only the Dean of Students Kennedy Campbell but from the only other Greek organization on campus, the brothers of Tau Zeta. Nathaniel Alastor the nephew of
Dean Campbell got wind of the sorority's possibility and made it his mission to destroy the sorority before it even had time to be officiated. The week of January 2nd will forever be known as hell week in our sorority. January 2nd the founders got warned to stop their pursuit of the sorority by the brothers of Tau Zeta. January 3rd, they awoke to find dead rats in front of their dorm's door (the rat being the prey of the falcon, Tau Zeta's mascot). That night our founders took refugue in
the old church in the back of campus to hide from the brothers. January 4th the women handed in the bylaws for the sorority to Dean Campbell. That night they return to the church, unbeknownst to them they were followed.

throwing Molotov cocktails, catching the church on fire. The founders fled for their lives. For 6 days the founders disappeared, when asked about their disappearance Dean Campbell said that the women have simply gone home. A statement that would soon be debunked, when on the January 11 seven days after their appearance the founders appeared. On that day the brothers of Tau Zeta were attending a banquet celebrating their newly built frat house. On their way home all 25 members .
Later that night the brothers launched a vicious attack on the women while they slept

were ambushed by the founders. Stationed at the top of the hill, in front of the frat house stood Flossie and Umiko clenching Japanese katanas. While Clementine and Keziah were
positioned on the frat house's balcony with bows and arrows. Each of the founders stated their names and that they were the women of Psi Chi Mu and they will not fear or bow down to anyone. With that proclamation, Flossie and Umiko stormed down the hill toward the brothers, with their katanas still in their scabbards. While Clementine and Keziah let down a barrage of non-lethal arrows. The chances of victory were looking dim for our founders until the sudden arrival of Chadwick Reid (one of the members of Clementine's archery club) the addition of this football player's brute force surely helped secure a victory for our founders.
A victory that ended up with the university rewarding the founders with the Tau Zeta house, in turn, becoming our first sorority house. Being saved by Dean Campbell the brothers were allowed to keep their chapter but were under strict supervision. January 12 the founder's families arrived on campus being in town already upon hearing about the sudden disappearance of their daughters, it was a most joyous reunion. January 13 courtesy of Flossie's family, the founders arrived at the Psi Chi Mu founding banquet all wearing matching ruby jewelry. All, dazzled in ruby crowns, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings. That's why our initiation ceremony is called "The welcoming of the Rubies. The strong display of sisterhood and the takedown of a masochist fraternity reached the local and then the national news. In the fall of 1872 Deyanira University seen a fluctuation of women attending, and soon our sorority went from 4 members to 50. Thus the beginning of
Psi Chi Mu.
